Grohe's Europlus E features battery operated infrared electronic actuation completely factory preset; no additional electrical hookup or adjustment is necessary. A 6-volt Lithium battery (included) has an estimated lifetime of 3.5 years (rated at 150 cycles/day) & can be changed easily from above the counter. All electronic components are contained within the durable all-brass faucet body & are completely accessible from above the counter as well.
